I'm primarily a "talk therapist" - working with the deep semantic structures of the psyche. I honor and have been trained in some body therapies, but training in Ericksonian hypnosis (I don't advertise doing hypnosis) and mythic storytelling (I was raised in a storytelling family) provide me with deep access tools to the psyche and its wounds.
I've been in practice almost 40 years here in Fenton and have not burned out, gotten tired, nor have any desire to retire. I love my work, and am good at it.

| Discipline: | I am a licensed masters level social worker - which in part means I see clients in the context of their social/cultural orientations as well as their interior and personal relationship psychodynamics. I was trained 40 years ago in Transactional Analysis and Gestalt therapy at the Huron Valley Institute (now non-existent). Since then I have developed my own clinical and intuitive style, leaning more to a Jungian and mythopoetic approach. I am also an ordained Episcopal clergyman, with its many gifts. But I have been a full-time counselor now for 39 years, but externally I am much more the psychotherapist than a priest. |
